COVID-19 Additional Safety Measures – What to expect when shopping…
COVID-19 Safety Measures
Welcome to Aylett Nurseries, the garden centre is open to visiting customers with COVID secure shopping measures in place.
It will come as no surprise that your shopping experience with us will be quite different until COVID-19 is no longer a threat, our priority is the safety and wellbeing of all our customers and team members.
We are limiting the number of customer allowed into the garden centre at anyone time, once we reach this limit we will operate a one in, one out policy. Please bear this in mind when visiting the garden centre and shop efficiently.
We are asking customers and members of our team to comply with and respect all hygiene and social distancing measures.
Stay Alert! Please do not visit the garden centre if you are felling unwell, have symptoms or have been in contact with someone who is unwell.
Please read the following guidelines so you know what to expect while shopping with us:
Please wear your face covering in all parts of the Garden Centre.
At the entrance you will find one of our team to help with the special measures we have put in place and to answer any questions. Our greeters are also sanitising the handles of our shopping trollies and baskets ready for you and sanitising equipment is available for customer use should this be required on entry.
We have additional cleaning and hygiene measures in place, paying special attention to commonly touched areas such as cash desks and pin pads which are frequently sanitised during the day. There are also hand Sanitisation Stations available for you to use around the garden centre.
Please be aware that payment is by CARD ONLY and contactless if possible. Contactless limits are raised to £45.00 for card payments and £500 limit for Apple pay.
We have one-way entry and exit points, please follow the one-way systems where indicated and in other areas observe your social distancing. Please observe any markings on the floor to help maintain 2-metre distancing.
At the customer facing counters, such as the reception desk, the plant hub and cash desks, screens have been erected to provide extra protection.
For the safety of our customers and our cashiers we ask that customers making purchases present their items in the trolley at the cash desks in order for the cashier to scan the items without having to have them handed over, avoiding person to person contact and allowing social distancing to be observed. Till operators have been instructed on how to serve customers and process their transaction whilst maintaining a safe social distance.
These special measures are in line with government guidelines, and although sometimes frustrating they are in place for your safety and all those around you. We reserve the right to ask anyone unwilling to comply with these rules to leave the premises.
Thank you for your support and custom, we are grateful to our customers for continuing to follow these guidelines that help protect us all.
Please note that Seasons Café and The Watering Can remain closed until further notice.
Our Toilet facilities are open.
