COVID-19 Additional Safety Measures – What to expect when shopping…
COVID-19 Safety Measures
Welcome to Aylett Nurseries, the garden centre is open to visiting customers with strict social distancing measures in place.
It will come as no surprise that your shopping experience with us will be very different until COVID-19 is no longer a threat, our priority is the safety and wellbeing of all our customers and team members. We are operating a ‘Shop and Go’ system with very little time for browsing, we would encourage you to make a shopping wish list before visiting to enable you to make your selection and progress to the till points as swiftly as possible.
We are asking customers and members of our team to comply with and respect hygiene and social distancing measures. Stay Alert! Please do not visit the garden centre if you are felling unwell, have symptoms or have been in contact with someone who is unwell.
Please read the following guidelines so you know what to expect while shopping with us:
Please wear your face covering in all parts of the Garden Centre.
At the entrance you will find one of our team to help everyone with the special measures we have put in place and to answer any questions. Our greeters are also sanitising the handles of our shopping trollies ready for you.
The maximum number of customers allowed into the garden centre is limited, and once we reach this limit we will operate a one in, one out policy.
We encourage you to shop individually where possible. We would discourage you from bringing children at the moment as this is not a browsing environment, we are open for you to purchase your garden essentials.
We have additional cleaning and hygiene measures in place, paying special attention to commonly touched areas such as cash desks and pin pads which are frequently sanitised during the day. There are also Sanitisation Stations available for you to use around the garden centre.
Please be aware that payment is by CARD ONLY and contactless if possible, we are unable to accept cash as a payment. Contactless limits are raised to £45.00 for card payments and £500 limit for Apple pay.
We have one-way entry and exit points, please follow the one-way systems where indicated and in other areas observe your social distancing. Please observe any markings on the floor to help maintain 2-metre distancing.
At the customer facing counters, such as the reception desk, the plant hub and cash desks, screens have been erected to provide extra protection.
For the safety of our customers and our cashiers we ask that customers making purchases present their items in the trolley at the cash desks in order for the cashier to scan the items without having to have them handed over, avoiding person to person contact and allowing social distancing to be observed. Till operators have been instructed on how to serve customers and process their transaction whilst maintaining a safe social distance.
These special measures are in line with government guidelines, and although sometimes frustrating they are in place for your safety and all those around you. We reserve the right to ask anyone unwilling to comply with these rules to leave the premises.
Thank you for your support and custom, we are grateful to our customers for continuing to follow these guidelines that help protect us all.
Please note that The Dahlia Coffee House and The Watering Can remain closed until further notice.
Our Toilet facilities are open. The Children’s Play Area is currently closed. Dogs (except guide dogs) will not be permitted in the garden centre during this time.
