Accessories to Adorn Your Outdoor Space this season

After a very harsh and long winter, it seems like an eternity since we last enjoyed the comfort and colour of our great outdoor space.  However, with the lighter evenings knocking at our door and the promise of warmer weather, now is the time to start thinking about furniture and accessories to dress your gardens, balconies and courtyards this summer.  We have put together our top tips to add a little drama and to freshen up your outdoor space.  You really don’t have to spend a fortune to create a visual spectacular.

Mirrors

Yes, you read that correctly, Mirrors are very on-trend in garden spaces. Hanging mirrors on an outdoor wall can create a beautiful illusion of a larger area, especially if the wall is whitewashed. Mirrors work well in a courtyard space and will look visually pleasing when the sunlight dances across the glass and creates a beautiful show of sunbeams.

Adding a Mirror to your outdoors is also a lovely way to upcycle old, tired mirrors for some outdoor shabby chic! Wooden framed mirrors are perfect as you can paint them to match your garden furniture and create a lovely Mediterranean vibe.

Feature Walls

A feature wall can be used to create a focal point in outdoor spaces too! Think how creative but simple some of the garden designs are at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Water Features

There is nothing more soothing than relaxing in a garden while you listen to the sound of cold running water on a hot summers day.  Many water feature units are self-contained and do not require any install; you can just plug and go, or if you do not have a handy power source close we also have a range of Solar powered water features from Smart garden.
