Chase away those winter blues with our Home Grown Primroses & Polyanthus…

We have been growing Primrose & Polyanthus in our Nursery for many years, each year we grow over 38,000. These bedding plants are ideal for making colourful displays in pots, containers and garden border during early spring. They can be planted in the autumn and we usually have the first of our crop available from the end of September. During the autumn you will have a preview of the show to come with a few flowers. They make a lovely companion plant in autumn containers mixed with winter flowering violas and pansies. During the winter months there will not be any flowers (if you keep them somewhere sheltered or the weather is mild, more flowers will come), but then in early spring you will have a profusion of flowers and colour right the way into early May. Planted in a shady part of the garden they will spread and come again year after year.

The annual display in our seasonal bedding house is something special that can’t be seen anywhere else in Hertfordshire.  So make sure you come and have a look, it is sure to brighten up even the dullest day – and best of all you can take a part of this home with you and give your garden some colour during the spring.
