Trees are one of the most important features of the English landscape. To maintain the tree population in the country, we need to plant seven million more per year.

Trees are in your garden for a long time, so it is important to choose the correct tree from our garden centre, remembering the height and width to which they may eventually grow. They can be grown for their flower, fruit or leaf colour and are essential to many species of bird and animal life which we love to see.

Planting

Planting can be undertaken throughout the year providing the ground is not frozen, waterlogged or under drought conditions.

MAKE SURE THAT TREES ARE FIRMLY STAKED IN THEIR EARLY YEARS. (Extra heavy trees need a stake at either side and tree ties to support).
